The Failed Raid on the Weteringschans
On the night of July 14 to 15, 1944, resistance leader Johannes Post and his comrades attempted a daring raid on the Weteringschans prison in Amsterdam. Their goal was to free dozens of captured resistance fighters. What began as a bold rescue mission ended in betrayal and tragedy.
